My first gig of November, blimey this year is flying! The Black Keys managed to fill the Brixton Academy on two consecutive days, which isn’t bad for a band which hasn’t had the full glare of Radio 1 on them for the past six months. These two guys have got a solid following though, and the place was absolutely rammed.

Although the lighting guy didn’t seem to bother with the support act, the lights were turned on for TBK, which was a welcome relief after shooting in darkness earlier. Photographers only had access to the pit for songs 2, 3 and 4 – no idea why but nice to be around for the fourth song anyway.

I also write a Mobile Blog from every event I shoot, and my post from this gig was the brilliance of The Black Keys’ photo passes. One of the best I’ve seen for a while, and a pic of it is further down the page.

I love this pass.
