My plan last night was to shoot Madina Lake with my 24-70mm for the first two songs, and then switch to my 10mm fisheye in time for the last song. I knew they were pretty active, and decided that they’d probably have two warm-up songs, and hit the crowd in the third. Perfect fisheye stuff.
As planned, after the second song, I switched to fisheye, and Nathan Leone jumped right into the crowd seconds after. The heat in the Academy was immense, and because my lens was still cool from sitting in my bag, misted up right away. I shot two pics, then I’d wipe the lens for the entire third song. Still, ended up with this, so it worked. I’ll just acclimatise my lens beforehand next time!
