The NME Radar Tour is typically a good place to see future household names before they garner huge acclaim. As well as presenting me with a bit of variation to shoot, I’ve never had as much fun photographing any band as much as Darwin Deez. I heard the band on the radio a couple of times before tonight, but nothing more. As it happens, Darwin Deez are a full-on circus of a band, with hilarious dance skits between songs. Brilliant.

Everything Everything’s lighting show was insane. The lighting guy must have been having a laugh – aside from the epic display, the lights also spent some time pointing right at the front row, and right into the lenses of photographers. I’m sure the back of the inside of my head must have lit up it was so bright. Ouch.

At the bottom of this page is a video (by Alfitude) of Hurts performing ‘Wonderful Life’. Great cover – looking forward to hearing more from these guys.
